“Career Day for students, graduates, and members of ALLILON”

The Career Day included a series of activities that brought together young people, mainly students or graduates of the Ionian University, with professionals and companies from the Ionian Islands, as well as online talks and career advisory meetings with ALLILON mentors, officials from the European Union, and representatives from other international organizations and companies working with these organizations.

More details:

The event was open to students and graduates of the Ionian University and members of ALLILON.

In the first part, from 10:00 to 13:00, individual meetings took place. Students and graduates had the opportunity to meet in person with representatives from companies offering suitable job positions, mainly in the Ionian Islands. Many dozens of such individual meetings were held, revealing significant interest from both parties. Several of these meetings will continue in the future. This was the first attempt of its kind, and the initial reactions from the companies and the young participants were particularly positive for a repeat on a larger scale before the start of the next season.

The second part, from 14:30 to 17:30, was entirely online and included:

  • An excellent panel of speakers on the topic “Best practices and success stories from Greece and abroad on innovation and entrepreneurship.”
  • Two parallel group Speed Mentoring sessions for young people interested in:
    • The aforementioned topics of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and
    • Careers or obtaining experience in the European Union or other international organizations or in the private sector related to these organizations.
  • Individual Speed Mentoring sessions with pre-selected ALLILON mentors on specific topics.

We support professional integration, innovation, youth entrepreneurship, and the overall professional advancement of young people in Greece, thereby contributing to the expansion, diversification, and enhancement of the technological level of the productive base of the Ionian Islands and the country.
